Selecting a Home Inspector

Below are a few Home Inspectors that my clients and I have good experiences with, although you are entirely free to choose your own.

Please let me know if you have a preference of one over the other, or a third-party, and I will coordinate schedules and make arrangements when the time comes.

What to expect…

When you’re inspecting!

A Home Inspection typically lasts about 1.5 to 3 hours, based on the size of the home and the questions you have throughout the inspection. I will be there the whole time, and I encourage you to participate in the inspection and ask questions about anything you see that you are unsure of.

This may be our one and only time in the house prior to our Final Walk Through at Settlement, so this is also a great time to take any additional pictures you may need to space plan, and you’ll want to bring a tape measure (although I pretty much always have one with me!) to get any measurements you may need to prepare for the move.

The inspector will walk through inspecting the systems listed below. Learn more in my home inspection video HERE.

βœ” Structure

βœ” Exterior

βœ” Drainage

βœ” Roof

βœ” Plumbing

βœ” Heating and Air

βœ” Electrical

βœ” Interior (Windows, Doors, Floors, Walls, Ceilings, etc.)

βœ” Insulation / Ventilation

βœ” Built-in Appliances

Once the inspection is complete, we will receive a copy of the inspection report from the inspector within 12 hours (sometimes in only a few minutes!). We will review the report summary and discuss any concerns together.

If you have any questions about the process please let me know.
